DroidDeck Discord and official links

Join the DroidDeck Discord

This invite is taken from the official README on GitHub, checked October 23, 2026. This site is an unofficial guide and is not run by the DroidDeck team.

What the DroidDeck Discord is for

The README asks users to join the DroidDeck Discord for three things: help, Preview builds and device reports. Bug reports go in its #bug-reports forum. Attach the zip from Share logs, found in Setup or in the session drawer, so the developers get your logs with the report.

Before posting in the DroidDeck Discord, check the DroidDeck troubleshooting guide. Questions like “The session ended” on a Mali phone, or a black screen on first launch, already have answers from contributors.

A contributor confirmed in issue #297 that the only official downloads are the releases page of the main repository and the main-<sha> prereleases on DroidDeck-CI. Most people should use the main releases page. The DroidDeck APK page explains which of the four files to take.

Things that do not exist officially

  • No stand-alone website. The README says: DroidDeck does not have a stand-alone website, and you should not click download links from websites claiming to be the DroidDeck team.
  • No Google Play Store version. A contributor wrote in issue #351 that DroidDeck isn’t on Play, which is why Play Protect warns when you sideload it. Any “DroidDeck” listing on Play is not from the project.
  • No iOS version. The official repository only describes an Android app, and every release contains Android APK files only. An app called DroidDeck on the App Store, or an “iOS download”, is not from the project.
  • No official subreddit or social accounts are linked from the README or the Droid-Deck GitHub organisation. Treat community subreddits as community spaces, not official channels.

Watch out for fake DroidDeck APK sites

Because DroidDeck grew so quickly, websites offering “DroidDeck APK” downloads appeared within days. In issue #297, a user reported a site at droiddeck[.]app that offered direct downloads. A contributor replied that the site is not the project’s, and advised anyone who installed an APK from it to uninstall it and reinstall from Releases.

How to stay safe:

  1. Download only from the official GitHub releases page.
  2. Check the file against SHA256SUMS.txt from the same release. The download page shows the commands.
  3. Ignore sites, videos and posts that host their own copy of the APK, including ones that look official.
  4. If you already installed a copy from elsewhere, uninstall it and install the official one.

This site follows the same rule. It hosts no APK files, and every download button opens GitHub.

Is DroidDeck safe?

DroidDeck is open-source software under the GPL-3.0 licence, developed in public on GitHub. Each release ships a SHA256SUMS.txt file so you can confirm your download matches what the project published. Android’s Play Protect may warn the first time you install it; a contributor explains this happens for any app installed outside the Play Store. DroidDeck does not need root. As with any sideloaded app, the safety question is mostly about where the file came from, which is why the official source matters.

Contacting the DroidDeck developers

For the app, use the DroidDeck Discord or the GitHub issue tracker above. This guide’s own contact page is only for corrections to this unofficial site; it cannot pass messages to the DroidDeck team.
